EWWW fat in a can

Wow, that ad campaign was really disgusting. But it definitely got the message out there to the people who drink a can of pop every day, or every meal. The ad compaign really lets the audience know how much sugar and fat they are ingesting. For me personally, I never really drink pop unless I'm at a party or a special event. The scare tactic really does summarize how much sugar and fat you are ingesting in your body. It may be disgusting but it really underlines the health problems that come along with drinking pop. If the U.S were to impose a tax on pop or chips it would definetely help people because it would give them less choices, therefore slimming down America. After asking, other people in the library where I'm blogging, alot of people say that they would probably eat chips and drink pop less but would still drink it. If everyone just drank pop a little less everyone could probably save 5 pounds of weight because all you have to do is cut your pop intake. There is no need to fully cut it out of you diet but just drink in proportion. If you eat everything in proportion you would actually lose more weight than having an eating disorder. But getting back to the topic, the ad really really did get the message out there. If the U.S really decide to impose a tax, it would really help people in controlling their weight and reducing childhood obesity. A lot of people don't have self control, so these people need other people to control for them. Its the only way to making North Americans healthier.

Photo manipulation just went to a whole new level!!

Okay so I've seen a couple of bad photoshopped images but this one has to be the worst. Just photoshopping a couple of the elements is fine but when you start to manipulate the people in the picture the ads start to look unrealistic and fake. For the picture on the left, the head is so twisted that its not even realistic. This was obviously a fail attempt at photoshoppping the girl in the ad. Not only is this ad stupid it just looks disgusting because who's head would twist like that. Photoshopping has gone to a whole new level and its not a level that is acceptable in our society. More ads should show the true beauty of human beings without them being photoshopped beyond recognition. People and artists should express their skills through true beauty and not hide behind photo manipulation software. Before photoshop came along, there were REAL people in the ads. Now, its all manipulated and edited. Its okay to make the person look better but when you start changing the physical features, such as arms, legs, neck, should, head, etc. You start to lose the true beauty of a person, which is important.

Bottom line, use photoshop to take acne or blemishes out but don't go too far when you start to change the physical features of an individual.

My DS is awesome.

I think games these days have definetely revolved from Pong to Call of Duty: Modern Warefare. These games are awesome, i'm not a gamer person but games these days are so awesome. Nintendo has definetely pwned by taking everyone's living room. Wii fit is definetely my favourite along with Wii sports. I love excergaming since I suck at actual excercise. The games are definetely much more entertaing but it is really helping us? Well, games like Wii fit and Wii sprts and doing any good to you but atleast they don't make you fat? Better than sitting on your bum playing Call of Duty. I find that its cool, Wii over COD (Call of duty) anyday. This is why our school should buy one, so we can excercise inside with A/C during the summer. These games are very entertaing though, and i can't stress that enough. Wii fit definetely felt like i was actually doing Yoga, since I actually can do yoga in real life. Some of the poses were very precise to what yoga was actually like. And running was fun to on Wii Fit. I definetely would excercise on the Wii Fit than actually go outside and run. Only because i can excercise on the Wii with my pajamas without changing. Wii fit might not be the best multiplayer game but thats what smash bros. brawl is for. Wii fit is definetely that is good for everyone. My 88 year old grandmother loved it. So did my parents. My mom has actually put the Wii fit game next to the t.v. show on the t.v. screen so should could do yoga and watch her favourite chinese dramas. I would take a picture to prove it but my mom doesn't like it when i post a picture of her on my blog for school.

My self esteem just went through the roof

Okay the dove commerical is awesome, even if it is a marketing grab atleast its not some stupid ad. Lets just say the dove commercials don't do me any good, neither does me any bad either. The dove commercials are great especially the one where they transform the girl into a total different person using photoshop. 1) thats cool. 2)the girl was pretty enough 3) it was really cool. Back to blogging. The dove commercials do help some people with their self esteem and make them realize that the media has too big of an influence on their self esteem. Dove is really trying to make the world a better place. Wish i could say the same for Axe. Those commercials were so stupid that i started to have suicide thoughts just to get away from watching the commericals. I rather watch High School Musical and Hannah Montanna than watch that commerical. C'mon Axe smells like crap, i would use harsher language but i can't. And Axe believes that girls chase after the a guy furiously with Axe on? C'mon thats so stupid. The girls should be chasing after the guy with a real axe trying to kill him. But at first the commercials were funny because I knew someone would actually buy Axe to attract girls. But funny thing though is that every girl that i've know hates Axe... Looks like they need better market research. As for should Unilever have more control over their kid companies? I think no because if Unilever controlled everything then they should just have one company, then each kid company wouldn't be unique. Unilever shouldn't have taken the award, Dove should have. Just because Axe had the stupidest commerical in the history of the world. Unilever is a good company and I love Dove shampoo, it leaves my hair silky smooth. Anyways Dove is a great company and their commercials are good but lacking impact.

EWWW those ads are disgusting!!!

Okay, I've never seen more disgusting ads in my life. Seriously, eating tapeworms to get skinny and eat lard and be happy? Whoever had created these ads must be living in a different world like mars or something. These ads are so wack that its like the aliens from Avatar made them. Ad number one (from top to bottom) The man is smoking and blowing the smoke into the poor girl's face. This ad is trying to tell men that just by smoking girls would follow you around like lung cancer does. (little joke there) This ad is really not as bad as the other ones but definetely should not be posted anywhere. Second ad, they're trying to tell you that you're fat and that you should lose weight. Not by starving but with using a wild tapeworm. This isn't even a sanitary thing not to mention your life would be gone before you start melting the pounds. This ad should not be run and the only reason it probably did was because someone spent a lot of money to make people believe that tapeworms were really good for you. Third ad, knowing people believe everything that doctors say you tell a doctor to promote Camel cigarettes. Think of how many people would just start smoking. Kids, pregnant women, etc... People belive everything that doctors says, and now you get a doctor to tell everyone to start smoking. Even worse they're saying that more doctors smoke Camel than any other brand of cigarettes. The doctors won't be alive to do a live testamonial of how good the cigarettes are because they'll all have lung cancer and be in a hospital hooked upto some machine breathing for them. This ad is stupid and the only reason it ran was because cigarette companies have tons of money and anyone will do anything to make more money. Fourth ad, this ad is probably the funniest one to be because there are tons of ways to gain weight but by eating lard? This ad is appropriate because this ad is most likely not to kill as many people. But lard? Thats disgusting lard is just fat, why don't you just eat gourmet food and gain weight like that? Wouldn't that be so much more enjoyable by just eating plain lard? Its really gross but this ad probably ran because it was the most appropriate ad without people doing rediculous things by just gaining weight. Bottom line though, these ads were stupid and if i had a say whether they hit streets or not, I would definetely said NO to ALL of them.

Do i agree with Google streetview!! :)

I think that Google is doing a good enough job of protecting our privacy, but them saying that they blocked all faces and license plates is a lie.

I've seen many of the faces and licenses where they haven't been fully blocked out, some of the faces i don't even have to see and i already know who they are because I recognize their body features, such as size, height, and build. As for the license plates some of them are still recognizable but its not painfully blatant.

I agree on what Google is doing because for example when I'm trying to find an address its easier for me to see which house it is and what the street looks like so I'm not going in the wrong direction, i can use the many objects on the street as landmarks to find my way through the area. I'm not sure how many people will actually prefer this to the map but I think it is a nice way to explore the city from the comfort of your computer. Well it has been a while since Google street view has been in service and I'm finding that its an awesome tool. I tried going to my friend's house and it helped that we had streetview because we knew what his house looked like and what the surrounding were like to. Definetely helped, but the only thing is that the streetview is sometimes a house or two off. But its still good because I have a general idea of what the neighbourhood looks like. Would have helped with streetview was more accurate because when i put in my own adderess it showed by neighbour's house instead of mine. But my house was right beside it. When looking at streetview i realized how long they have been working on it because when they took the picture of my house we didn't even renovate yet. Which was almost 2 years ago. But they did block out my dad's license plate which is a good thing but you can still sort of see the letters. Again, its not painfully blatant.
